Hello Christian, this is my one of last e-mail with materials for you for now. Well, I am neclosing you :1) Title of the Czech edition of book written by J-M Loubire, with orinigal name "Louis de Funes: Le berger des roses" (edited by Ramsay 1994) Yes I know this ... which was renamed as "Louis de Funes: Gendarme and roses lover". - (edited by Nava in 1995)
2) Some czech versions of titles of movies -
a) fant1,2,3 - Fantomas Translation: "V hlavnich rolich = Starring"
b) gmari 1-6 Gendarme is getting marry And the I wand write for you and interesting language moment.Czech language has comapring the non-slavic languages the specification in using man and women families. For determinaton of women Czech langues add sufix -ova. Following this for instance Mrs. Claude Gensac will be in Czech Claude Gensacova ... funny little bit, isn´t it, for you?
Yes, interesting to know ...Surprising, because it is unused in the film !! :o) Translation: "v hlavni roli = Starring" "dále hrají = co-starring" "a dalsi" = and others" "v ceskem zneni = in Czech dubbing"

d) orch 1,2,3 L´Homme Orchestre Translation: "Ustredni pujcovna filmu Praha uvadi film - Central movie distribution Prague presents film" *) "v hlavni roli = Starring" *) This Central distribution was alas closed after 1989 as result of changes in Czech republic.
e) pens0.jpg, pens.gif Grendarme on pension Notice: This is an exaxmple of cretivity of czech version title makers. The movie starts from that gendarmes were pensionised. Last shot till titles is a shot of Calabru and Funes crying... so the Czech title makes made also the titles in "crying" style - hehe.
